ABOUT
EDUARDO RAMIREZ
Eduardo
received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from UNM in
1989, and formed and operated WestWorks Design and Construction
Co. for two years before joining the Construction Industries
Division as an Architectural Technician (plan reviewer) in
1993. Eduardo received three promotions over the next seven
years to become the Assistant to the Director and Commission,
and Director of Field Operations.
As Director of Field Operations,
Eduardo was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations
of 60 CID field inspection staff and four Division Directors,
and provided assistance and oversight to 32 municipal building
inspection departments and 120 certified field inspectors
statewide.
As a certified building code and
inspection official, Eduardo managed statewide construction
codes and standards determinations and interpretations to
field inspectors, architects, engineers, contractors and
the general public. Eduardo also managed and conducted statewide
code training sessions and community meeting programs, and
was an adjunct professor of Building Codes at the Santa Fe
Community College for three years.
Because of his extensive
construction codes and standards experience, Eduardo occasionally
served as an expert witness while employed with the Construction
Industries Division. He also served as a Hearing Officer
on contractor licensing complaints.
Eduardo left the Construction
Industries Division in 2000 to pursue the project and construction
management fields. He gained extensive school design and
construction management experience the next nine years as
a project and construction manager for Santa Fe Public School
District through Harris Consultants, LLC and Gerald Martin
Construction Management. Eduardo managed the pre-construction,
bid and construction phases of new and renovation K-12 school
projects for Santa Fe Public Schools totaling $44M in construction
value.
Other project and construction management experience includes
the two year pre-construction phase of the $14M Santa Fe
Railyard Park and Plaza project for The Trust for Public
Land, and the pre-construction, bid and initial construction
phases of the $38M Steve Herrera Judicial Complex project
for Santa Fe County.
Eduardo has a proven ability to
facilitate design teams and projects to meet design, schedule
and budget goals, and brings that knowledge to his new firm
3CM Construction Management LLC. 3CM Construction Management
LLC focuses on project and construction management, general
construction, and construction fraud consultation cases in
